Maku Textiles — Exploring Aari
Setting up the first aari embroidery unit at the design house — exploring the techniques and experimenting with colour palettes to establish an embroidery language in line with the brand's design sensibilities.
These initial explorations helped me understand the technique involved, the skill of the karigar, and the scope of aari in creating motifs for the Maku AW23 collection.
