Gollabhama
A craft-based product development project: taking Gollabhama — the Telangana handloom tradition of dancing-figure motifs — and translating it into a denim textile built for streetwear. The brief was to choose a regional craft and push it somewhere new while keeping it recognisably itself.
The work moves from the motif library — borders, booties, the pot-carrying figures — through colour and weave studies to a final extra-weft denim fabric, expanding the Gollabhama product library beyond the sari into everyday cloth.
